Why Am I Stuck on the Scale?

I understand how #frustrating it can be to feel stuck on your weight loss #journey, but please remember that weight loss is a complex #process that varies from person to person. Let's explore some possible reasons and suggestions to help you overcome this plateau and improve your mindset:

1. Plateau: It's common to hit weight loss plateaus after making progress. Our bodies might adapt to our current routine, making it harder to lose those last few pounds. Consider evaluating your diet and exercise regimen to see if any adjustments can be made.

2. Stress and Emotions: Feeling bad and frustrated about not being able to lose the last 5 pounds can be emotionally draining. Stress and negative emotions can impact our ability to achieve our goals. It's important to practice self-compassion and focus on the progress you have already made.

3. Set Realistic Goals: Sometimes, we can get fixated on a specific number on the scale. Instead, try focusing on non-scale victories like increased energy, improved fitness, or better overall health. Setting realistic and sustainable goals helps to avoid disappointment.

4. Diversify Your Exercise Routine: Our bodies can adapt to repetitive workouts, which can hinder further weight loss progress. Consider adding variety to your exercise routine by incorporating different activities or intensities. Consult with a healthcare professional or personal trainer for personalized advice.

5. Evaluate Your Diet: Examine your current diet to ensure you're consuming a well-balanced and calorie-controlled menu. Maybe there are hidden sources of calories or mindless snacking that can be improved upon. Consulting with a registered dietitian might provide extra guidance.

6. Practice Mindful Eating: Pay attention to your eating habits and the signals your #body sends when it's hungry or satisfied. Avoid using food as a reward or coping mechanism for stress. Mindful eating helps maintain a healthy relationship with food.

7. Stay Consistent: #Consistency is key when it comes to #weightloss. Try to follow your fitness routine and dietary habits consistently over time. Remember, slow and steady progress is often more sustainable.

8. Seek Support: Consider enlisting the support of friends, family, or online communities who share similar goals. Sharing experiences, advice, and encouragement can make your weight loss journey feel less isolating.

It's important to remember that every individual's weight loss journey is unique. If you continue to struggle or feel overwhelmed, it may be beneficial to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian who can provide tailored guidance. Keep a positive mindset, celebrate your progress, and be patient with yourself. You've got this!

With Gratitude

No Pain No Gain

We all heard the term: “No Pain No Gain”, I use it quite often with myself, sometimes even with my trainees. However, I am not sure people actually understand the meaning of it. We tend to confuse between pain of stupidity to pain of wisdom, between the physical pain of hard work to the pain of a fracture or a nerve. The pain of a fracture might be to signal us that we are on the wrong path. A pain of a nerve could try to say that maybe we are pushing too much, a pain of stupidity could be when you think you should jump higher than you ever practice for or before, or when you just go for a marathon run when you never run for 10 km in a row. All those versions of pain could not be and should not be part of that statement. Believe me when I say, that it is more painful to push through mentally when a thing seems statics then physically when you can feel the wrong pain. It is easier to say to yourself “if I don’t feel the physical pain I probably don’t push hard enough”, then to kee...

A Path to True Wellness and Balance

In the pursuit of a healthy life, we strive for balance, aim to maintain our health, and seek happiness within ourselves and our daily lives. While achieving this may seem straightforward, many of us face regular challenges in doing so. We often hide behind our screens, offering advice and sharing personal stories in an attempt to guide others. Yet, when we delve deeper, we find that issues such as obesity, depression, lack of joy, stress, and anxiety persist. So, what’s the key? I believe that self-reflection—practiced often, even daily—can lead us toward our desired goals. The first step is to define your destination: what does wellness truly mean to you? According to the Google Dictionary: Well: in a good or satisfactory way. Ness: denoting a state or condition. However, defining wellness alone isn’t enough to help you reach your aspirations. It requires your personal experiences, objectives, and passions to truly shape it. Begin by asking yourself: What does "well" me...
